Make a Watercolor Keepsake from a Favorite Cat Photo
Choose a photo, try SoulPaw’s watercolor style, and prepare a cat portrait for a small frame or a personal gift.

A tiny patch of ginger on a tabby’s chin can matter more than a perfectly painted background. When you choose a photo for a watercolor keepsake, start with the thing you want someone to recognize from across the room.
Pick the memory before the photo
Maybe it’s the tilt of your cat’s head when you open a cupboard, or the neat way they tuck their paws under their chest. Choose a picture that catches that gesture. Add a clearer front or side view of the same cat if a shadow hides a marking you want to keep.
Let the paper show through
In SoulPaw Studio, choose Watercolor Portrait. Its pale paper, loose edges, and washes of color suit an image with a clear silhouette. A strongly striped cat can look lovely in this style. Check that the darkest stripes around the eyes still read as stripes rather than a single dark patch.
Compare the finished image with the reference. If the design includes a name, check every letter at full size. Save a copy before making a crop for a particular frame.
Try a paper proof
Cut a scrap of paper to the size of the frame opening. Use it to work out how much room to leave above the ears and below any lettering. If the portrait is a gift, make a small test print on the paper you plan to use. Fine whiskers and pale washes can look different on paper than they do on a bright phone screen.
