Make a Holiday Cat Portrait for a Greeting Card
Photograph your cat at home, choose a festive portrait style, and leave enough space for a greeting that stays legible in print or on a phone.

A good holiday card can start with a completely ordinary picture. Your cat can spend the afternoon on the sofa while the finished portrait suggests a winter tree or a New Year party.
Start where your cat feels at home
Photograph your cat in a favorite spot next to a window. Get down to their eye level and catch the moment before they turn away. You can skip the costume and decorations. A simple background makes it easier to see the shape of the ears and the real color of the coat.
Match the scene to the greeting
- Winter Holiday Portrait pairs a decorated evergreen with soft snow. Try it for a quiet end-of-year note.
- New Year Celebration has a livelier mood. Use it for a party invitation or a message to friends at midnight.
- If you want a card you can send any time of year, use a plain studio portrait and add your own seasonal greeting outside the picture.
In SoulPaw Studio, select the template and upload two to four clear references of the same cat. Download your favorite version before laying out the card.
Check the card at its final size
Set the picture into the actual card layout before deciding where to put the greeting. Leave some space above the ears and keep text off the face. When the image is busy, a separate strip below the picture is often the easiest place for a name and year.
Read the result at phone size if you’re sending it digitally. For a folded card, print a draft, fold it, and check which edge opens before you print the rest.
